Having bought my son-in-law a mushroom growing kit for Christmas I couldn't help buying one for myself, too. The first photo is Jan. 9th...cute little mushrooms are looking good...today, the 12th, I realize I need to think about harvesting soon! The kit was set up on Dec. 26th.

That's really cool. I've been wondering if those mushroom kits really work out for people. How do the mushrooms taste? I'd love to try growing some myself sometime.
Christa...I suppose I should be weighing the harvest and dividing out the cost but the mushrooms taste great and they are of course so fresh! These are the plain white button mushrooms but some are so big we had them stuffed for dinner last night.
