If You Can't Be With The Garden You Grow...Post The One You're With

It's vacation time and the Davis garden is at the mercy of the Garden Trainee. Hopefully it is blooming and thriving while we're visiting the Sweet Granddaughter in San Diego. So what's blooming in the auxillary garden? The courtyard is green and lush, the result of the warm, humid coastal weather. Its main bloom time is over but even so the little courtyard has some blooms remaining. Blue marguerite has spread in the triangle bed. The red rose that has shared this spot was unceremoniously ripped out today having never managed to keep its leaves from being eaten by the rose sawfly...those lovely little green caterpillars.
Succulents in pots are still blooming ...and the red ivy geranium that covers the garage wall blooms almost nonstop. When my daughter and son-in-law sent photos of the courtyard after purchasing their condo I couldn't identify the red flowered vine, having never seen a 7 foot tall 8 foot wide geranium...it wasn't until we visited that I could tell them what it was.
At the top of the page are white chrysanthemums foolishly blooming as if to say summer is coming to an end. But I don't believe it...summer is still going strong...at least here in San Diego!
Find out what's blooming around the world by checking in with Carol at May Dreams Gardens!

Wow, what a nice garden they have! I'm still trying to imagine an ivy geranium that full and lush up against a wall... kind of boggles the mind of this northern gardener, I admit. :)

Glad you got to post, but hope you can share a few pictures of your own garden when you get back home, too!

Now I've got the song stuck in my head. I wish there was a YouTube of Howie Morris singing it on Broadway.

I also wish we had a YouTube of you seeing that enormous plant for the first time and realizing it was a geranium! That kind of thing has happened a couple of times here, too, Leslie.

The blue marguerites are so pretty. Have a wonderful vacation1

That geranium is amazing...so cool.
Enjoy your time with your granddaughter....I am missing mine badly, and won't see her until Labor Day weekend.

Thanks for stopping by WWW...I had to find a way to participate even though I wasn't home!
Hi Kim...I am planning to post some photos now that I'm home...I'll have to get on that soon!
I remember that wisteria photo you posted last year, Annie. That would also qualify in the amazing plant size category!
Connie...it's just not fair they haven't figured out how to beam people around yet. I've been lucky this summer with two visits and one more coming up!

It's a beautiful garden to visit, especially because of the Sweet Granddaughter.

Thanks for joining in for bloom day, even while on vacation!
